OUR APPROACH

Less clinical. More human.

The Holding Space was built around a simple belief: therapy can be clinically grounded without feeling cold, distant, or overly formal.

We bring evidence-based care, curiosity, creativity, and genuine human connection into the same room.

People arrive in therapy carrying more than symptoms.

They bring histories, relationships, identities, bodies, beliefs, contradictions, hopes, and ways of making meaning.

We believe therapy should make room for all of it.

The goal is not to reduce a person to a diagnosis or rush them toward a more “acceptable” version of themselves. The work is about understanding what has shaped you, what feels stuck, what still hurts, and what may be asking for change.

WHY WE EXIST

People are more than problems to solve.

Our therapists draw from established therapeutic approaches while recognizing that no single framework can fully explain a human life.

We use evidence-based tools where they help. We pay attention to patterns, relationships, the nervous system, values, identity, meaning, and the context surrounding a person’s experience.

The approach is grounded, but never rigid.

HOW WE THINK ABOUT WORK

Evidence matters. Relationship matters. Curiosity matters.

You can take your time

WHAT IT FEELS LIKE HERE

You don’t have to perform in this space.

You can let it all out

You can ask questions

You can be messy

The Holding Space lives in the space between things that are often treated like opposites.

We believe clinical expertise and humanity can coexist.

We believe structure can create freedom.

We believe evidence and meaning-making can both belong in the room.

We believe healing can be practical and deeply personal at the same time.

THE SPACE BETWEEN

Science & intuition.
Structure & exploration.
Mind & body.

WHAT GUIDES US

The work is personal. The principles are simple.

People before labels

A diagnosis may help explain part of the picture. It is never the whole person.

Curiosity before assumption

We ask questions before deciding what something means.

Relationship over performance

Therapy works best when you do not have to prove anything.

Depth without dogma

We value reflection, spirituality, and meaning without imposing a single way of understanding the world.

Evidence without distance

Clinical knowledge should support connection, not replace it.

Care that adapts

The work should respond to the person, not force the person to fit the work.
